Who you calling a Ho Ho Ho?

We visited the Gaylord Texan today and I got to hang with the jolly old guy named Santa.  Apparently he must be in a union because he gets scheduled lunch breaks and everyone has to wait for him.

I checked out the beard, this guys the real deal.

Sorry for the poor quality, it was the best I could get given the rules about not recording.  How could I follow those rules . . . it was too cute not to record.

9 Months

Check out this sad face....  Not to worry, it wont last long,

Hey Mr. Tally Man . . . Tally Me Bananas

I got a new device that allows fruit to be place inside a net, so I can eat real food without choking.  Today I tried bananas.

Texas State Fair

We visited the Texas State Fair on Sunday.  In the background you can see Big Tex, he may have been a technological marvel in 1973, but in 2013 he is in need of a makeover.  I was able to see lots of animals and experience what Dad refers to as "real people."

My Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Im not sure what the big deal is with a bunch of big orange gourds, but my parental units put me in a new outfit and chased me all over the field with a camera trying to get a picture of me next to these strange things.

I sincerely hope pumpkin pie taste better then this.

Fireman Art

This week I learned all about the fire department, and I got to make art to supplement my learning.  I know my Dad says Uncle Drew gets paid to sleep at work and saves little kittens stuck in trees, but my teachers made it sound like they do a lot more than that.

Enjoy my fireman art

Standing Tall at 8 months old

The milestone for 8 months is Emma's ability to stand up.  She crawled for about 36 hours before she decided that was enough, it was time to prepare for walking.  She will hoist herself up onto a chair or table and walk in place.

7 Months

As I turn 7 months, I have a few big milestones to lay claim too.  First, I am very aware of EVERYTHING around me.  Second, although I have not mastered crawling, I sure can use my unique method of movement to get anywhere I need. Lastly, I have my first word to claim -- "da da da da."  I use new word when I want to call the dog, I also use it when I want my bottle of milk, I use the word when I want my toy that is on a counter top I cant reach, and I also use it when I see my Daddy.  So its safe to say, I use my new word for just about everything.

Other things of note this month -- my favorite food is squash, and I really like lap top computers, cell phones and jewelry.

My Half Birthday

I started my half birthday off by trying something new and fun -- apparently its called sweet potatoes.  The best thing about it (other then its not the same milk I have had 7 times a day for the past six months) is that is makes everything orange.  That includes my clothes and the walls and the floor.

After breakfast, it was time for a quick nap.

Then it was time for my favorite part of the month -- picture time.
